
Nicole Elikolani Prescovia Scherzinger (also known as Nicole Kea) (born June 29, 1978), is an American singer, dancer, songwriter and occasional actress best known for her work as the lead vocalist for The Pussycat Dolls.
EARLY LIFE
Nicole was born in Hawaii, to a Hawaiian/Russian mother and Filipino father.She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky with stepfather Gary Scherzinger, mother Rosemary, and sister Ke'ala. She has described her upbringing as "conservative Catholic". She began her life as a performer in Louisville, attending the Youth Performing Arts School at duPont Manual High School and performing with Actors Theatre of Louisville.Nicole majored in theater arts at Wright State University, but put her studies on hold in 1999 to sing backing vocals for the rock band Days of the New.
RECORDING CAREER
1999-2001
Nicole appeared on the second album by Days of the New, released in 1999. She also recorded 2 songs with Barry Drake's F.O.B, which were released in 2001.
EDEN'S CRUSH
In 2001, Nicole competed in the premiere season of The WB's television show Popstars, on which she earned a spot in the all-girl pop group Eden's Crush. The group's 2001 single "Get Over Yourself" peaked at #1 in sales and hit the top five on Billboard Hot 100. "Love This Way" was the second single chosen from the Popstars album; however, their record company, London-Sire Records, folded and the group eventually disbanded. Songwriter Kara DioGuardi contributed one track to the album, and later went on to co-write with Scherzinger for PCD and Her Name is Nicole.
2001-2003
After the disbanding of Eden's Crush, Nicole made a few promotional solo appearances under the stage name of Nicole Kea, including covering "Breakfast in Bed" for the soundtrack to 50 First Dates in 2003.
In 2002, Nicole worked with Yoshiki Hayashi on in his Violet UK project. She sang the English version of "I'll Be Your Love" live with the Tokyo Symphonic Orchestra. The track also appeared on the 2003 Various Artists album Exposition of Global Harmony.
THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS
In June 2003 Nicole joined The Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, who were being re-cast as recording artists. She had first seen them performing on The Late Show with David Letterman in November 2002, where Carmen Electra sang "Big Spender" from the Bob Fosse musical Sweet Charity. In 2006, Nicole said "It caught my eye because I’d played Velma Kelly in [Fosse's] Chicago in college." The Pussycat Dolls now have world-wide status as a popular singing group; their Billboard top five hits "Don't Cha", "Buttons", "Wait a Minute" and "Stickwitu" and the top 20 hit "Beep". The album PCD went double-platinum in 2006. Nicole sang nearly all lead vocals on the album, with Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar also contributing.
Nicole is the only group member with songwriting credits on PCD; she co-wrote "I Don't Need a Man" with Kara DioGuardi and producer Rich Harrison, and co-wrote "Buttons" with producer Sean Garrett. Another collaboration with DioGuardi, "Flirt", became a B-side to "Stickwitu" and a bonus track on PCD.
In 2006, Nicole toured with The Pussycat Dolls for their album promotion. It was revealed in 2006 that the Dolls are salaried employees of Interscope Records, giving the label a high level of control over the group's finances and business decisions. The group is planning to release their second album in 2007, titled Double the Trouble. Nicole's PCD nickname is "Lead Doll" or "Queen Doll".
She's often asked if she and the group members get along and she says that they have good relationships because they know where each other's boundaries are and when to give each other space. But she says that she works so hard, she barely gets to see the girls anymore. They usually meet up on stage and she says they have great chemistry there. She's often either performing on stage or making music in the studio.
DUETS
Following the popularity of "Don't Cha" and the continuing rise of The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole recorded a series of duets or "guest appearances", predominantly with male vocalists. In 2005 she appeared on recordings by Shaggy, Vittorio Grigolo, and Will Smith. In 2006 she sang on Avant's single "Lie About Us", and P.Diddy's hit single "Come to Me" (which she also co-wrote).
SOLO ALBUM
Nicole worked on her debut album over the last 2 years with record producers including Will.i.am, Timbaland, Kara Dioguardi and Bryan Michael Cox. In a recent interview Ne-Yo has said that he originally wrote songs for Britney Spears's new album (which should be released sometime this year) but thinks that they would work better for Nicole's new upcoming solo album. Her first single "Steam" will be released in late May 2007, with the album scheduled for early June 2007. Nicole announced in a March 17, 2007 interview in Winnipeg, Manitoba, that the album would be called Her Name Is Nicole....
PERSONAL LIFE
Nicole was once engaged to the lead singer of 311, Nick Hexum, and was the inspiration for the song Amber. She is dating Talan Torriero from reality show Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

FILMGRAPHY
Nicole briefly appeared in the movie "Chasing Papi" as the real Miss Puerto Rico, whose appearance as a candidate was impersonated by the character of Roselyn Sanchez, with who Nicole shared a physical resemblance.

Melody Thornton (born September 28, 1984) is an American singer/songwriter, and occasional model. She takes the second most prominent vocal role in The Pussycat Dolls, after lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger, adding melismatic vocal runs to many songs and being the soprano background vocalist along with newest member Asia Nitollano.
RISE TO STARDOM
Melody was born in Phoenix, Arizona to a Mexican mother and African American father. Her talent was first discovered at an elementary school talent show when she sang Mariah Carey's version of Harry Nillson's cover of Badfinger's "Without You".
She saw the Pussycat Dolls on MTV and heard they were auditioning for a new group member. Melody went to the audition and was recruited in December 2003. For her audition, Melody only sang and was still accepted into the group. As with the other Dolls, she is a salaried employee of Interscope Records. Her doll name is always going to be "Baby Doll".
SOLO CAREER
Melody started her solo career collaborating with rapper Jibbs in the song "Go Too Far" in his debut album Jibbs feat. Jibbs. Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin have confirmed that Melody is working on her solo album entitled The Beginning with collaborations from Nicole and Pharrell. In late February, she stated to Blender Magazine, "I was going to have "True Love Lasts" as my first single but I decided to have the song "Melody" as my first single 'cuz I want people to know who I am and that I'm not just a hot girl." She and Nicole have been writing songs for the Pussycat Dolls' new album. Melody's solo debut single "Melody" is set to be released in late August.
VOCAL & DANCING ABILITIES
Melody's toughest challenge being in the Pussycat Dolls is learning the dance routines as she has never had any dancing background. As for her vocals, she is known for her melismas in the group, and harmonizing high, along with Nicole, for many of their songs and is the soprano and co-lead singer for the group. To date, Melody's dancing skill has increased, and has improved on doing the "Buttons" dance routine. As for her vocals, she claims that she would like to master the whistle register one day.
PERSONAL
Melody dated actor and former model Drew Fuller. When asked in interviews, "Are you single and what do you want in a guy" she replies, "I'm still young so I'm pretty shallow, I want a guy with muscles, a buffy guy."

Carmit Bachar (born September 4, 1974) is an American dancer and singer best known as a member of the successful Pop / R&B group, The Pussycat Dolls. She is the oldest of all the current Pussycat Dolls.
EARLY LIFE
Born in Los Angeles, her father is Israeli/Chinese and her mother is of Dutch/Indonesian descent. She was raised in Encino, California. Both parents were dancers; her mother worked as a dance teacher and her father worked with Elvis Presley and Marcel Marceau. Carmit competed internationally as a rhythmic gymnast for 10 years, and placed 5th in the U.S. Olympic trials in 1992, she even went on to compete in the Gymnastics World Championships, placing 10th. During her career competing on the U.S. National Team, she attended Hamilton Academy of Music in Los Angeles, studying music, dance, piano and viola.
THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS
Carmit joined The Pussycat Dolls in 1995 while they were a burlesque show. She has been a member of the Dolls longer than any other performer. Most of the current members, including lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, were cast by founder Robin Antin in 2002 or 2003, when the group was being transformed into pop recording artists. As with the other Dolls, she is a salaried employee of Interscope Records.
In 2006 and 2007, she is touring with the Dolls in support of their multi-million selling album PCD. Her Dolls' nickname is "Red Doll" or "Foxy Doll".

Carmit has also appeared in several films, including 13 Going on 30, Along Came Polly, and 2003's Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle featuring the Pussycat Dolls.
As a freelance dancer she has toured or appeared live with several rock/pop acts. In 1999, she was the "Livin' La Vida Loca" woman in Ricky Martin's world tour. In 2003 No Doubt's world tour, and appears on stage with Gwen Stefani during "Bathwater" in No Doubt's DVD Rock Steady Live. In 2004 she was a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson during the infamous peek-a-boo Super Bowl half-time show. In 2003/2004 she was a dancer for Beyoncé's tours and appears in the 2004 DVD Beyoncé Live at Wembley. She appears in Beyoncé's music videos "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy". Carmit appears (along with fellow member of The Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly Wyatt) in the video "Shut Up" by Black Eyed Peas. She has also appeared in Wyclef Jean's "Perfect Gentleman" video. Additionally, she and other members of the Pussycat Dolls have appeared in the music video of P!nk's "Trouble".
THE ZODIAC SHOW
In 2001 in Los Angeles, Carmit, Lee Cherry, Scarlett and others started an 'underground' nightclub called Freedom. This became the occasional "multi-genre cabaret" The Zodiac Party which was first held at the Hollywood Athletic Club, then The Key Club. As of 2006, Carmit is still co-producing the event, which is now called The Zodiac Show.
CHARITY
It has been reported that she wishes to form a non-profit organization called "Smile With Me": "I want to have my own charity for children and adults who are born with a cleft palate. I was born with one and I want to educate and inspire people by saying that inner beauty is more important than looks."


Jessica Lilian Sutta (born May 15, 1982) is an American dancer, singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the successful pop / R&B group The Pussycat Dolls.
EARLY LIFE
Jessica Sutta was born in Miami, Florida to a father of Russian/Polish Jewish descent and a mother of Irish descent. She grew up with 2 older brothers, Billy and Kevin. She started dance classes at the age of 3. She went to the New World School of the Arts at age 14 to study dance. She tore the ACL on both knees and switched to theater studies, before finally returning to dance. She joined the Miami Heat dance team in 1999 and became captain in 2001.
MEDIA APPREANCES
She acted in the Swedish TV soap opera Ocean Ave., which was shot in Florida. In 2002, Jessica moved to Los Angeles. As a freelance dancer, she appeared in music videos for Will Smith, Beyoncé ("Crazy in Love"), Baby Bash, Craig David and Gloria Estefan, among others. She came to the attention of choreographer Robin Antin, who cast her with the Pussycat Dolls in 2002. As with all the other Dolls, Jessica is a salaried employee of Interscope Records. Her Doll nickname is "Pin Up Doll".
Jessica sang co-lead along with Carmit Bachar and Ashley Roberts in the "Stickwitu" b-side "Santa Baby". Her singing voice is "sexy" and husky, and has been compared to Marilyn Monroe's. Jessica had no role in the recording of PCD.


Ashley Roberts (born 14 September 1981) is an American singer/dancer in the modern burlesque troupe The Pussycat Dolls, and a glamour model. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Shadow Mountain High School.
LIFE BEFORE BEING A PUSSYCAT DOLL
She began dancing at the age of 3, and singing at the age of 8. Her father was a drummer who played for the Mamas and the Papas. He later became a car dealer. Her mother was a Pilates instructor and they both inspired her to be a part of the entertainment industry.
During high school summer breaks she had travelled to the West Coast to study modern dance. After high school she moved permanently to Los Angeles. She appeared in TV commercials and a Counting Crows music video "Accidentally in Love".
PUSSYCAT DOLLS
Within 6 months of her move she was also a Pussycat Doll. As with the other group members she is a salaried employee of Interscope Records.
Her doll name in the band was "Barbie Doll", but to avoid trouble from Mattel (who own the rights to the Barbie Doll) changed it to "Angel Doll". She is known to be the sweet, innocent, goofball of the group and as described by Nicole Scherzinger, "a breath of fresh air".

Kimberly Wyatt (born February 4, 1982) is an American dancer and member of the modern burlesque pop/R&B group The Pussycat Dolls.
EARLY LIFE
Kimberly was born in Warrensburg, Missouri, a small town near Kansas City. Her father is a trucker and her mother travels with him. Before dancing, she attempted Tee-Ball, basketball and Brownies, which ended unsuccessfully. Kimberly began dancing at the age of 7. When she was 14, she earned a scholarship to study in New York's Joffrey Ballet and the Broadway Dance Center. At the age of 17, she graduated from high school and flew to Las Vegas to audition for cruise ship and casino shows. She worked in a revue on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas, which was the world's largest cruise ship at the time.She visited most of Southern Europe.
In 2001, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career, despite an offer from the Hubbard St. Dance Co. in Chicago.
DANCING CAREER BEFORE & DURING THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS
In 2003, Kimberly participated in the Black Eyed Peas' video "Shut Up", and was the choreographer and dancer for a music video for Nick Lachey's solo album. During the video shoot, choreographer Robin Antin, founder of The Pussycat Dolls, asked Kimberly to join the group. Like her fellow members, she is a salaried employee of Interscope Records.


Asia Nitollano (born in Mt. Vernon, New York on February 14, 1989) is an American dancer and singer, who, after winning the television series Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll became the newest—and youngest—member of the successful pop group The Pussycat Dolls. She is also a dancer for the NBA team New York Knicks.
EARLY LIFE
Asia is the daughter of R&B musician Joe Bataan. She is of Filipino, Puerto Rican and African American descent. Before her entry into the group, Asia was dancer for the New York Knicks. In 2007 she became one of the 9 finalists on the CW reality television series, Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. During the season finale of the show, she was chosen to become the newest member of the group. According to judge and Pussycat Doll founder Robin Antin, while Asia wasn't the strongest vocalist of the final 3, she had greater stage presence and is an all-round better performer. After winning, Asia performed "Don't Cha" with the group.
Asia is also a single mother of a two-year-old daughter.


At the age of 20, Chelsea Korka became one of the 9 finalists on the CW reality television series, Pussycat Dolls Presents: The Search for the Next Doll. Prior to the show, Chelsea was busy balancing her life as a waitress, singer and dancer in her hometown of Cooper City, Florida. She was also participant on the Miss Florida USA 2007 beauty pageant and held the title of Miss West Broward USA 2007. She grew up with 2 brothers and many male friends, which led her to develop an interest in skateboarding, video games and comic books.
Her decision to try out for Pussycat Dolls Presents: The Search for the Next Doll was made impulsively. She was on her way home from hanging out with her friends when she learned about the casting call via her car radio. Still dressed in her uniform (she was at work prior to meeting her friends), Chelsea went to Ball Harbor in Miami and succesfully auditioned for the show. As a finalist, Chelsea made it far in the competition, having made it to the top 3 with Melissa Reyes and Asia Nitollano. Although her singing skills impressed the judges, it took her some time before she could bring her dancing abilities at par with the other finalists.
